When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad

–”My Favorite Things”
Rodgers and Hammerstein

Well, when I’m just having a bummer of a day, the reasons are usually deeper than a dog biting me or getting stung by a bee—that is, unless the dog had rabies or I had an incredibly gruesome allergic reaction to the bee sting! But like Maria’s character, I often reflect on the many blessings in my life and focus on those rather than allow, oh, say, a visit to the emergency room spoil my parade!

As a matter of fact, I recently aggravated an old sports related injury and spent most of 2009’s holiday season in and out of quick care clinics, emergency rooms and on my sofa highly medicated. While other people were out shopping for holiday gift exchanges (something I personally don’t participate in anyway, which I will share in another post) or donning fancy dresses, up-dos and Jimmy Choos for a New Years Eve gala, I was struggling around my own kitchen trying to make simple appetizers and open a few bottles of bubbly for my friends who stopped by to welcome 2010 with me.

So when the urge struck me over the holidays to just curl up in a ball and keep taking those oh-so-powerful pain meds, I instead forced myself to reflect upon my life’s many blessings while also reaching out to friends and family for actual phone conversations. YES! Remember those? No texting, no Tweeting or FaceBooking, we actually spoke with each other on the telephone!

Well, I guess a few of my friends could tell from my voice that I wasn’t quite myself (in pain and a bit out of it from the meds) and expressed that they would like to send me a little something to cheer me up.

“What can I send you?” asked my girlfriend from Utah.

Hmmm…my first thoughts went to Eli’s Cheesecake from Chicago or a bottle of Sancerre delivered via singing telegram to my front door.

“Something not food related,” she insisted before the words came out of my mouth.

And I was stumped.

So I’ve put thought into gifts that I would really appreciate receiving by recognizing the things in my life that I’m thankful for. I don’t need high end shoes, handbags and the like. I don’t need jewelery although there are a few unique items I enjoy collecting.

I do enjoy working on my house and improving the health of myself and those around me (with the exception of the occassional cheesecake splurge LOL.)

With that said, I decided to create a “favorite things/wishlist” category here for those of you who have also asked me, “So, what can I send you?”

Gift Cards: They are easy to work with and most can be sent via email.

Home Depot—I am a do-it-yourselfer. These days I especially enjoy adding lighting elements around my home

Lowe’s—see comment above

Balanced Body (Pilates)—I am a fitness enthusiast and reserve a warm spot in my heart for Joseph Pilates

The Dog Bed Store—No dog should have crummy, deflated beds to sleep in

Lululemon Athletica—I am often on the run from the gym to running errands so wearing functional and attractive athletic wear is a MUST

I will wrap my list up for now until I can think of some more ideas on what types of gifts I appreciate.

The best gift of all, however, is the gift of true, accepting, non-judgemental friendships.

So, I asked a male friend of mine to take a few amateur pics. The shoot was HOT!! Champagne and the temperature seemed to just keep rising, amongst other things!

Unfortunately, this lighting wasn’t the best and we ended up with some funny pink-ish tones with the end results.

Nonetheless, here are a few. Please share your feeback! We had loads of fun shooting and just playing around, nothing to take too seriously, but good ideas for future professional shoots!

Photographer Meeshee contacted me a few months ago regarding her upcoming photography tour to Las Vegas. When I looked at the images at her site, along with reading her blog , I was convinced that I had to set up a photo shoot with her.

While I like the photos of myself on my site, I really want to capture the erotic side of myself that comes out behind closed doors. I don’t find it improper for an elite companion to amp (and vamp!) it up to give the visitors to her website a better sense of her “unleashed.” My copy accurately portrays my personality and the current fashion-type images reveal the “edge” of seduction. Well, now I want to go one step further INTO the seduction.

self-portrait taken in anticipation!

Tonight I got so excited knowing that I was only 15 hours away from my shoot with Meeshe, I whipped out some of my favorite, edgy pairs of Manolos to wear around the house in…yes…my pajamas! So in the image to the left, taken just about 2 hours prior to writing this post, I was doing a load of laundry in my jammies and sexy CFM shoes in anticipation for tomorrow’s shoot! Perhaps I should lie and say that I was trying on a corset or mini-skirt when I took the picture. Well, maybe next time! Laundry needs to be done and there is plenty more time for erotic daydreams…

My conversation this afternoon with Meeshee was very relaxed. She told me that she provides snacks and refreshments during the shoot–very classy! Most of us ladies provide the same for our patrons when they are visiting us, so it’s really nice to meet with a photographer with the same hostessing skills. She will also have music and a “warm-up” session to begin with. Warm-up? Just hearing about it is getting me HOT! I am so excited.

I will keep you all posted on how my session goes, along with sharing a sneak preview image or two here for all of you who enjoy my blog. (Thank you for continuing to join me here!) Hopefully, there will be a few sultry pictures of me in those Manolos…perhaps with some luxurious textiles thrown in for good measure? *winks*

With the different flu strains and colds going around, I wanted to share some basic reminders on how to stay healthy this season.

First of all, WASH YOUR HANDS! After using the restroom, after shopping, basically after touching things that have bathroom germs or basic “touched by other strangers” germs–wash your hands. With soap. And for at least 20 seconds. You can hum “Mary Had a Little Lamb” or the “Happy Birthday” tune twice during the process to keep it safe. If there is no soap available, carry those anti-bacterial hand gels in your car. Or even just pour rubbing alcohol over your hands. Same basic idea.

Secondly, DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE! Just don’t do it! Have an itchy eye or need to wipe sweat off of your face? Use your sleeve or other part of clothing, or simply resist the urge. Count to 10 and the urge to touch usually subsides. Mind over matter, my friends.

Next, keep in mind the PLACES IN YOUR HOME WHERE GERMS LURK:
**Sponges: bleach them weekly, or microwave them weekly, or simply replace them weekly
**Washing clothes: cold water DOES NOT kill salmonella bacteria or hepatitis A virus. Use an antimicrobial additive.
**Disinfect toothbrushes regularly (I say weekly)
**Keep the toilet lid down while flushing if possible
**Each time you replace a trashbag liner, disinfect the inside of trashbin
**Clean the cutting board! There are 200 TIMES MORE FECAL BACTERIA on the average cutting board than on the toilet seat.

FOR THE TRAVELERS OUT THERE, don’t be so fast to grab the remote or the phone at your hotel without wiping them down first. Travel with antibacterial wipes.

Wishing you all a healthy, happy and peaceful winter season,
Lynette

PS….What are your own personal tips on how to stay healthy during cold and flu season? Please share!

As he stood before me in his silken boxers, I could see the bulge of his erection and I simply had to circle my sopping pussy lips with my ring finger while holding back from tickling my erect clit. “Oh yeah,” he sighed under his breath, his eyes fixed on my hand teasing my own pussy. “Let me see you touch it.” My clit was surely engorged as I could feel my pulse throbbing through it, hot and aching to be touched.

But I was heaving for him and on the edge of coming without penetrating my pussy walls or flicking my clit. “No, I want to feel your body against me.”

I pulled him toward me by his hips, and we both slid back onto the bed until my back and head were resting on a pile of pillows. His hands reached to the waistline of his shorts but the silky material was so sensual, I wanted him to leave them on. “No,” I urged. “I want you to hump me through those boxers.”

I wrapped my legs around his thigh and positioned myself beneath him so that I could slide back and forth under him to feel the perfect pressure of his thigh and the material of his shorts stroking my clit up and down. At the same time, I felt his hard-as-a-rock cock gliding against my hip. His hands held my arms over my head, as though he was holding me in place to take full advantage of his own pleasure. But our rhythm was perfect: with each grind against each other we let out a breath, a gasp, a “oh yeah,” “fuck, that’s hot, baby,” “stroke yourself off on me” until I had to hold back the eruption of a muscle quivering orgasm.

“Lick me,” I begged, as I pulled my arms out of his grasp and urgently pushed his shoulders and head down between my spread thighs. “Kiss it first. Then lick it. Slowly.”

His lips caressed my swollen pussy lips and then kissed my clit gently. Kiss kiss suck. He repeated this: kiss kiss suck. Kiss kiss suck. I imagined my clit as his cock being sucked each time he wrapped his lips against it. Kiss kiss suck. “Oh fuck,” my hands were gripping at the pillows beneath my head and I felt my body begin to arch and tense.

He stopped for a moment, pushed his hands on my thighs to spread me as wide as I could go as he licked me, knee to pussy up my left leg, then my right, then placed the whole of his warm tongue against my clit once more, this time moving up and down, up and down, side to side side, side to side…pure, wet pleasure dripped down my ass and my body and mind entered a state of bliss.

I envisioned myself on my knees before him, sucking his cock…drool dripping down from my chin to the carpet…the smell of his balls as I gently tickled and licked them…the look on his face as he came in gushes into my mouth, onto my lips, dribbling down to my tits…

The fantasy of him coming on me was too much and my body was flailing in pure pleasure. The waves of ecstasy came again and again as I replayed my fantasy of his white hot cum shooting into my mouth. I lost track of time and space until I had nothing left…

It was a lot of fun but it wasn’t serving my life as a courtesan any purpose. In fact, I was receiving negative feedback from friends and patrons who took my comments far too seriously or misinterpreted them.

Tweet on, everybody! And have fun with it.

Halloween is approaching and I’m deciding on what I’m going to dress up as this year. In the past, I’ve been:

a naughty school girl
a naughty little red riding hood
a poodle
Uma Thurman’s character in “Kill Bill”
a bottle of Absolute (Absolute Costume!)
an Enron exec
Napolean Dynamite (my favorite! Hilarious!)
Daphne from Scooby Doo (my friends and I went as the whole Scooby Doo crew)

So as you can see, I’m not necessarily into dressing/undressing sexily on Halloween. I just like to “be” something fun, funny, and perhaps throwing a little sex appeal in.

But this year, I’m running out of ideas and I’d love your suggestions on what I can be!

Here are some links of websites with adult costumes…some even sell adult toys to go with the costumes! VaVaVoom!

Wicked Temptations
Costume Express
Sexy Costumes

Feel free to publicly post your ideas for me here. I’m curious as to what you “see” me as being!

Also, what are you dressing up as on Halloween? What will your festivities consist of?

Halloween Hugs,

Every now and again, something touches me so deeply that I simply must exclaim my emotions creatively and share them with the world. Tonight, I have been touched by the caring staff at 1-800-MyIPhone who have managed to “regrant” me the music I have purchased via ITunes and allowed my selection to appear on my MacBook rather than being held captive on my PC that will not allow me to download ITunes updates for some reason. *whew* long rambly passion-inspired sentence!

Here it goes…

Sweet Bliss of Music in the Earphones, Gleefully from IPhone to Me

For over a year I was singing the blues
Because my PC wouldn’t download the latest version of ITunes
I was beginning to feel like my IPhone was crap
Because without the latest ITunes I could not get cool apps

Then one day through my friend’s computer
I was updated just like every other IPhone user
Unfortunately, it came at a cost:
All of my downloaded music was lost

So for three months the clouds hung thick
As I had no music to sing along with
And while I could post blog updates and Tweet
My IPhone and I
felt
still
incomplete

Heartbroken without music I
made excuses on how to get by
Listening to Pandora or NPR
while jogging or taking a cruise in my car

Then the straw broke the camel’s back
And I stared at my dusty, unused Mac
Could this MacBook be the answer
to my missing tunes such as “Tiny Dancer?”

With trepidation I picked up the phone
and dialed tech support. Cold and alone
and expecting to be on the phone for an hour.
And exceeded the time frame by over an hour.

But lo and behold I was allowed a “regrant”
and told I would not again have a second chance
To regain the music I’d bought in the past
And get it back on my IPhone
at last.

So cheers to 800-MyIPhone
And the gentleman Henry with the calming voice
Who comforted me in my darkest zone
and caused my heart and IPhone to rejoice!!

PS…To the IPhone marketing crew, there’s more where this came from! But just don’t steal it, okay anyone? Cus it’s 11:52 PST Aug 17 2009 and I just whipped this outta my IPhone-ITunes-loving heart in 8 minutes. I can be contracted for more.

PPS…Hey Jimmy Fallon, if you’re reading, I thought you may like my style as well. Feel free to contact me about helping write those silly rhymey skits when you need the assistance.
