Well, I finally switched my WordPress blog over to my own server, so it’s mine! Now I can write about all the controversial topics I’d like without fear of WP possibly pulling my site for “questionable” content.
Here comes the good stuff!
Ben Folds Interactions

Well, I am excited to see one of my favorite, poetic, dreamily nerdy artists Ben Folds perform in just a few days. It looks like I’ll be attending by myself, but that’s fine as I get there very early in hopes of him dripping sweat on me (last time I had the privilege it came from Ani DiFranco!). Ben often has his audience participate in his performance and it is simply amazing and so much fun!
He has also recently released a capella recordings from university groups performing his work. Amazing how he can remake Dr. Dre’s “Bitches Ain’t Shit” into his own because he found it “sad and beautiful” as well as recreating his own tunes through university a capella groups.

Seems this little overachiever has dropped a hat or two over the past few weeks. I have been on a path to change myself (and the world!) for about a year, and lately I’ve become a bit overextended. Not only do I wear a few different hats, but I often find myself spinning them…trying to find that perfect balance between all of them. But over thinking or a slight breeze can knock one down, and I can’t pick it up without having to stop all of the hats from spinning.
Well, I am finally able to stop spinning one of those hats as a class I’ve been taking ended last night. After a few final weeks organizing archives and placing them into my portfolio in a meaningful and structured manner, I now have a sense of relief and deep satisfaction! This is not to say that the class was stressing me. I adored my classmates and my instructor, and as she says, “It’s not the end, this is the beginning.” Completing the class allows me many opportunities to reach out to the community and make an impact. I am so thankful!
Believe it or not, one other thing I have been slowly working on is this blog. I am in the process of moving it over to my website directly, so that it will belong to me and not Word Press. I will use that as one of the reasons why I haven’t added much here, in case WP finds the content too risque for their site. I have so many enticing entries in mind, some that I’ve shared with a few of you and even hinted that we collaborate with…very exciting!

I have fought it for some time, but I hereby cry “uncle” to the powers of the mighty blog, Twitter, tumblr, ping…oh you know, all of those sites that allow us to keep up with each other’s lives without having to speak a word or be present.
So here I am to share my musings, photographs, rants and raves, and adventures in my life. I hope to keep this blog interesting and fresh, and I’m very glad to have you here! I welcome your comments, both publicly and privately. Please play nice and I shall reciprocate.
